If you suspect a child is being abused or neglected in Florida, the law requires you to report it to the Florida Abuse Hotline at 1-800-96-ABUSE (1-800-962-2873). For more information on reporting child abuse and neglect, please read Reporting Abuse*.

Healthy Families Florida is a free, voluntary program that provides families with useful information on parenting and child development.

Families may be eligible for services if they:
  • Live in an area where services are provided (Click on "Find a Local Project" in the menu bar above to find out).
  • Are expecting a baby or have a baby less than 3-months-old.
  • Are currently experiencing stressful life situations that indicate they could benefit from home visiting services.

  • Find a Local Project -- Find/contact a Healthy Families Florida project in your area.
  • Parenting Tips -- A new tip is added every month and you can search past parenting tips.
  • Preventing Childhood Injuries -- This link goes to the Ounce of Prevention Fund of Florida Website which has some great information on how to protect children from unintentional injuries.
  • Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Instant Childhood Immunization Scheduler -- Enter a child’s date of birth to find out which immunizations are due and when.
  • Home Safety -- Download a Home Safety Checklist and 15 Safety Education Topics.
